Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra resumed his outstanding form on Friday by winning the prestigious one-day meeting series’ Lausanne leg of the Diamond League, his second straight victory of the season after returning from a one-month injury layoff. Due to a muscle problem he suffered while training last month, the 25-year-old Chopra missed three major competitions. However, he came back strong and won the Diamond League title today with his fifth-round throw of 87.66 metres. He committed a foul before throwing 83.52 and 85.04 metres. In the fourth round, he committed another foul before making his 87.66-meter winning throw. His sixth and last throw measured 84.15 metres.
