Sevilla 1 – 1 Roma UEFA Europa League Final 2023

A record seven UEFA Cup/Europa League championships have been won by Sevilla. Sevilla won the Europa League at a result of Sevilla 1-1 Roma (4-1 Penalties). The Spanish team was able to hoist the trophy for a record-extending seventh time after defeating Roma on penalties in Budapest.

Gonzalo Montiel successfully converted the winning penalty in the second attempt after missing the first; First defeat in a European championship for Jose Mourinho.

The Europa League experts handed Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma, his first defeat in a European final after five victories.
